Sad to read that Daryl Dragon of the pop duo Captain & Tennille passed away yesterday at age 76. Dragon died of renal failure in Prescott, Arizona. His ex-wife and singing partner, Toni Tennille was at his side.

The duo's breakthrough and biggest hit was "Love Will Keep Us Together" in 1975. The song was co-written by Neil Sedaka and stayed at the very top of the of the charts for four weeks that summer. It became the best selling song of the year. Even to this day, I remember how was inescapable this song was on AM radio.

If you want to check out their music, The Ultimate Collection is a generous collection and recommended.

    RIP :(
